Ang Lee: Praises for the human spirit
Creative works that break through tabloids and films that speak for the weak neglected by history and society have won Ang Lee two Golden Lions in three years. His films The Wedding Banquet, Pushing Hands and Eat Drink Man Woman, often referred to as the "trilogy of the Chinese godfather in cinema," showed the world the real living philosophies of real Chinese people. From 2005 to 2007, Venice awarded two Golden Lions for Brokeback Mountain and Lust, Caution.
