Deanie Ip: Rustic warmth of inner force
During the 68th Venice Film Festival in 2011, Hong Kong actress Deanie Ip beat Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley among others for the Volpi Cup for Best Actress. In the film, Ip played a warm old maid who's been through the hardships of life, and utilized her acting skills to the fullest in portraying the simple, ordinary, yet rich and complex life of a human being.
