Around the world entertainers aspire to become famous. And while teachers play a much stronger role in society as entertainers, they are left out of the spotlight. But in China, a lot of entertainers are teachers. Chinese entertainers aspire to become teachers. They grasp at the idea to become teachers to pass on their life experiences. They feel the need to share their life stories and challenges they had to overcome to become famous.
Fan Bingbing, a Chinese actress who played the role of Empress Wu Zetian (AD 655-683) of the Tang Dynasty(AD 618-907) in the highly acclaimed TV show The Empress of China, established her own Fan Bingbing Film & TV School. She is the honorary president of the school but is not really responsible for the school's routine work. Her mother Zhang Chuanmei is the person in charge.
