According to Song Ai'guo, Chinese ambassador to Egypt, six Chinese news agencies have set up offices in Egypt, where the headquarters of the League of Arab States are located. He said Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram has applied to set up offices in China.
Though there are very limited Arab media personnel in China, Jiang promised that the State Council Information Offices will create more opportunities for media officials, executives and reporters to study in China and support media exchanges between China and Arab countries.
The media dialogue was held a day before Xi’s State visits to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran begin.
