Chinese hip-hop is known as Xiha, and rap is called Shuochang, literally meaning “narrative”.

Chinese hip –hop culture is often criticized as pure imitation. Raphael, the host of the event talks about the development of hip-hop culture in China and how imitation is an important phase in the learning process, and how it has taken root in the urban youth culture.
