Sun Jianping wins 1st gold medal of China's National Winter Games

Sun jianping from Tonghua won the first gold of the 13th National Winter Games as he garnered the highest mark in the men's K90 ski jumping here on Sunday.
Sun jianping jumped 103 meters and collected 137 points for the gold medal, followed by Tian zhandong and Yang guang in the second and third places with 135 and 125 points respectively.
"I am very excited, and I am also very happy that China won the bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. I believe I can still compete by then," Sun said after winning the title.
Li Xueyao from Tonghua won the women's event with 103 points. Her teammate Ma Tong took the second place with 95 points. Liu qi from Urumchi was third with 91 points.
In team competitions, Tonghua became the biggest winner with 428.5 points while Jilin was second.
