"Enthusiasm and curiosity are what promotes creativity." said Ettore Francesco Sequi, Italian Ambassador to China at an exhibition promotion in Beijing on Monday.
The 21st Triennale International Exhibition Milan 2016 is inviting Chinese institutions and individuals active in design, architecture, fashion and media to join the event in Milan from April 2 to Sep 12.
"Tradition and creativity are the key words of Italian design, and the 'Made in China 2025' strategy also highlights quality and design, which offers a good opportunity for cooperation between the two countries." said the Italian Ambassador.
Themed on "21st Century, Design after Design", the exhibition this year aims to probe the sustainable development of design industries during the new era, covering global construction, urban planning, landscape and visual arts.
Andrea Cancellato, director of the Triennale Exhibition, said that the event is expected to attract 300,000 visitors worldwide, including experts and enthusiasts from various fields.
