5.4-magnitude quake jolts off Taiwan

BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 5.4 magnitude hit the waters close to Taiwan at 10:13 am Beijing Time on Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
With a depth of 27 km, the epicenter was monitored at 22.83 degrees north latitude and 121.42 degrees east longitude, in the waters off Taitung County of southeast Taiwan, the CENC said.
