WUHAN - Police held an anti-terrorism drill at a bustling bus station in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province on Wednesday night.
The drill unfolded in a set where five "terrorists" stroke at the ticket hall of the Hongji bus station, resulting in casualties.
Police acted quickly, killing of the two "terrorists" and capturing the other three.
The two-hour drill was intended to enhance local police's responsiveness and preparedness in the event of a terrorist attack, according to officials from the police bureau of Wuchang District, which organized the drill.
The bus station is located in densely populated downtown Wuhan. It handles over 12,000 passengers on an average day, or as much as 50,000 in busy season.
A group of veiled men and women on Saturday swarmed a train station in Southwest China's Kunming city with knives. The attack has left 29 civilians dead and more than 140 injured.
