BEIJING - The Chinese government on Wednesday vowed to boost the health service sector.
The health service sector, including nursing, recovery care and body building, is a key and vulnerable part of the modern service sector, according to a statement released after a State Council executive meeting presided over by Premier Li Keqiang.
"To boost the growth in health service sector, the key point is to expand supply, the core is to ensure quality, and the crux is to draw on reforms and innovation," the statement said.
Various measures should be made to boost health service sector including lowering market admittance and encouraging non-government funds and overseas capital to invest, the statement said.
More efforts should be made to boost nursing the old and diversifying commercial health insurances, the statement said.
In a separate topic at the meeting, the government also vowed to expand pilots of the securitization of credit assets.
The securitization of credit assets is a specific measure to use financing in supporting economic restructuring and transformation, the statement said.
The pilots will be promoted in a gradual way with strict risk controls, the statement said.
