Flood kills 11 in NE China

CHANGCHUN -- Eleven people were killed and three others went missing in a flood that inundated a residential compound in Northeast China's Jilin province on Friday.
The flood occurred around 4:00 am in Hongshi Township in the city of Huadian.
More than 100 rescuers were sent to the compound.
About 200 residents have been relocated.
Northeast China has been hit by the biggest floods in decades this summer. Jilin's neighboring Heilongjiang Province reported 11 flood-related deaths on Friday.
