Five killed in elevator accident

NANJING - Five people died after an elevator plunged to the ground at a construction site in East China's Jiangsu province on Friday, local authorities said.
The accident happened around 7 am in Hengshanqiao township, Wujin district of Changzhou city.
The five people in the elevator were injured and sent to a local hospital but died from serious injuries, the township government said.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
