China will take measures to help families living in poor conditions obtain housing, according to a document approved by the State Council on Thursday.

That intention was stated in a document drafted by Ministry of Civil Affairs and six other departments. The document was approved by the State Council and published on Thursday.

It calls on the governments at various levels to take various steps to help low- and middle-income families obtain housing.
