China Telecom, one of China's major telecom providers, and Shanghai's bus agency plan to offer WiFi access on Shanghai's public buses, according to a China Telecom branch in Shanghai.
In the near future, residents in Shanghai will be able to browse the Internet on their handsets on any public bus in the city.
The plan is in a testing stage. Whether the service will be free, and when it will be put into use has not been decided.
