When Tiffany sparkled in the second quarter as profit beat estimates thanks to Chinese consumers, the world's second largest luxury jewelry retailer saw glittering profits that surged 16 percent to $106.8 million. Strong sales in the Chinese mainland market, price increases and falling costs, offset the weak US sales.
