Macworld iWorld Asia (MIA) 2013 was held August 22-25 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. As the world's largest expo for Apple's peripheral merchandise and parts, the four-day event was co-hosted by US International Data Group (IDG) and Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau with support from the Beijing Municipal Government.
The expo was a multifunctional combination of negotiations and other on-site activities, which not only satisfied insiders' desire for meaningful discussions about hot topics in the industry, and but also attracted ordinary users to get more involved through in-depth interaction.
Since its Beijing debut in 2001, the Macworld iWorld Asia expo has successfully taken place on two other occasions. With the theme "Innovation Defines the Future," this year's expo doubled the size of its normal exhibition area while attracting about 200,000 visitors.
It presented innovation trends of the mobile Internet industry by exhibiting this year's new products selected within the industry from a global technological and commercial prospective, thus providing a feast of technology and innovation for wireless mobile users and practitioners in Asia.
