China issues 30b yuan in 10-year T-bonds

BEIJING - The Ministry of Finance announced Wednesday that it will issue 30 billion yuan ($4.74 billion) worth of 10-year book-entry treasury bonds.
The issuance is the ministry's 15th batch of book-entry treasury bonds this year, according to a statement posted on the MOF website.
The interest rate for the bonds is fixed at 3.39 percent.
Interest will be paid on Aug 23 and Feb 23 each year, while the last half year's interest and the principal will both be paid upon maturity on Aug 23, 2022, the ministry said.
The bonds will be sold from Aug 23 to 27 and become tradable on exchange markets starting Aug 29, according to the statement.
