A young Chinese father who was usually too busy to spend much time with his six-year-old son, started making an Iron Man suit in late November 2013. He hoped the project would entice his son into wanting to help, thus turning it into a parent-child activity.
Things turned out perfectly -- the youngster was excited by it, and watched the whole process. When the child invited his friends to see the completed suit, his father felt so proud.
Thirty-four year-old Huang, from East China's Zhejiang province, is a doctor with his own clinic. Due to his busy medical practice, he can hardly spend much time with his son.
He found information about making an Iron Man suit on the Internet, so he decided to make one to make his son happy. After spending one month searching for information on how to make the suit, he spent another month finishing it.
The Iron Man suit, at the cost of about 300 Yuan, is nearly 1.8 meters high. To highlight its Chinese characteristics, Huang put China's red, five-star flag on the suit's chest and Tai Chi patterns on the palms of the hands.
Huang made this Iron Man suit as a special gift for his son, and he said he was so satisfied that he found a way to help the lively child learn how to concentrate.
Iron Man is a Hollywood movie series about a superhero named Tony Stark, who wears a high tech "iron man" suit that helps him battle evil doers. The films are major hits whose fans include countless children around the world.
