Earthquake measuring 6.8 magnitude strikes India

An earthquake measuring 6.8 struck northwest of Imphal in India, near the Myanmar border, on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.
The USGS said the quake was 57 kms (35 miles) deep, and initially reported it had struck inside Myanmar.
