Clashes erupted between rival groups in Iran

TEHRAN - Clashes took place on Wednesday between students supporting the government and supporters of Iran' s opposition in Tehran university at the funeral of Iran's Monday protest victim, the state IRIB website reported.

"The students and people attending the funeral ceremony of Shahid (martyr) Sane' Zhaleh in Tehran Fine Arts University clashed with a few who were apparently from the sedition movement, " the report said.

Supporters of the government forced them out of the scene by " chanting the slogan of death to Monafegh (hypocrite)," referring to the dissident Paris-based People's Mujahedeen of Iran (PMOI), said the report.
