Suicide blast kills 4 in NW Pakistan

PESHAWAR - At least four people including a police officer were killed and many others injured on Monday in a suicide attack in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar, police sources said.

According to police, a suicide bomber exploded his explosive jacket near the police vehicle of Deputy Superintendent of Police Rasheed Khan when he was going to his office on Kohat road in Peshawar, capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

Police confirmed the death of Khan and also told that two other policemen were killed in the blast.

With the impact of the blast another vehicle was also destroyed in which a civilian was killed.

Injured people have been shifted to the Lady reading hospital in the city where emergency has been announced.
