7.1-magnitude quake hits Argentina

BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale jolted Argentina at 5:56 p.m., Beijing time Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was monitored at 26.8 degrees south latitude and 63.2 degrees west longitude with a depth of about 560 kilometers, the center said.
