DPRK leader meets Chinese official

PYONGYANG - Kim Jong-il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), met with visiting Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo in Pyongyang on Thursday.
The two sides reached consensus on bilateral relations and the situation on the Korean Peninsula after candid and in-depth talks.
Dai, who arrived in Pyongyang Wednesday, also met with DPRK Deputy Prime Minister Kang Sok Ju.
