Comment on "English adopts more Chinese phrases" (China Daily, Dec 29)
I do not think it important whether English adopts more Chinese phrases into the English vocabulary, or vice versa.
I would prefer languages to be pure, which is, in its original form. But because of globalization and technological development, it may be necessary to incorporate some foreign words and phrases into the native language.
