LOS ANGELES  - Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen are finally hitting the road together in "My Mother's Curse." Paramount has greenlit the long-gestating road-trip comedy with Streisand and Rogen playing mom and son.

Anne Fletcher ("The Proposal") will direct the project with a script by Dan Fogelman ("Cars").

The movie has been in the works for at least a couple years. Streisand and Rogen were offered the roles last summer and expressed interest but a green light has been elusive. The story follows an inventor (Rogen) who invites his mother on a cross-country trip as he tries to sell his new product while also reuniting her with a lost love.

Now that Paramount has pulled the trigger, shooting is scheduled to begin in the spring.

Streisand recently appeared in "Little Fockers," while Rogen is now onscreen in "Green Hornet."
