Museum gets a truly historical donation

Retired Central Academy of Fine Arts professor Zhou Lingzhao has donated 77 of his works to the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.
The 92-year-old designed the first run of RMB banknotes and the Chinese Youth League flag. He also painted the first portrait of Mao Zedong, which was hung on the Tian'anmen Rostrum for the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China on Oct 1, 1949.
