The 2011 Exhibition of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy will open in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, to show works by artists from across the country and retrospectives of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) artist Huang Gongwang (1269-1354).

It will also feature a landscape painting by a group of Wenzhou artists, including State Council counselors' office director Chen Jinyu.Premier Wen Jiabao's calligraphy will be shown, too.

The exhibition is organized by the Chinese National Academy of Arts and the Wenzhou government.
