Moreover, Xi urged Political Bureau members to strictly educate and supervise their children and other family members as well as subordinates, and to rectify their problems in a timely manner.
Xi also urged senior leaders to stick to the correct political direction and be loyal to the Party.
Xi said members of the Political Bureau must have a firm belief in Marxism, socialism and communism, and must make efforts unswervingly for the ideal, no matter what difficulties or frustrations they suffer.
Political Bureau members must be persons of integrity and unite their words and deeds. They should have excellent political quality, noble moral character, stay away from vulgar taste and set good examples for other cadres and the general public, according to Xi.
They must hold the idea of serving the people whole-heartedly, always think about the state and the people, and devote themselves to the cause of the Party and the people, Xi said.
Political Bureau members must be politically intelligent and capable, stay in the right strategic and ideological direction, and adhere to moral integrity, so as to stand the test of major challenges, Xi added.
Xi also stressed Political Bureau members should make sure that sectors they are in charge of resolutely follow the Party's guidelines, policies and major decisions and stay in line with the CPC Central Committee.
If Political Bureau members spot transgressions against the "three stricts and three earnests," they should not hesitate to point them out and demand correction, Xi said.
Participants to the meeting reviewed the practices and successful experiences for improving the Political Bureau's work style over the past three years, according to the news release.
All the members earnestly exchanged their opinions and carried out self examinations. They agreed that the Party's intensive anti-graft campaigns have effectively curbed undesirable work styles. Achievements have been made in deterring officials from becoming corrupted, said the release.
However, the conference concluded that the Party still faces challenges in restoring and carrying forward fine traditions, preventing relapse and fixing underlying problems, it said.
