A resident in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, was mistaken for a thief when he tried to open the door of a neighbor's home after moving to a new building, Yangtze Evening News reported on Wednesday.
The man, surnamed Li, moved to a new apartment recently and on Tuesday afternoon tried to open the wrong door with his key. The homeowner then came out and confronted Li, and called the police.
To prove his mistake, Li had to take the neighbor and police upstairs to his apartment and show them his real estate license. He and his neighbor apologized to each other and shook hands.
