Luxury Beijing penthouse exposed
A grand penthouse hidden amid trees and rocks was exposed after residents downstairs at the Renji Villa community filed complaints about pipe leakage caused by construction work from above. The owner of the penthouse had reportedly demolished the 100-square-meter house and built a private garden on the rooftop, which is illegal.
Vice mayor's comments on rape stirs up outrage
Jiang Zhixian, vice-mayor of Ruichang city in Jiangsu province, elaborates on her previous comment that she would not seek compensation from the government if her child is sexually assaulted. Jiang explains that her first reaction in the scenario is to protect the privacy of the child. Six pupils, all girls, have been sexually molested in the past two years by their teacher Tao Biaogong in the city, according to media reports.
