Restaurants busy with festival dinners

Bookings for dinner on the eve of Spring Festival, China's lunar new year, neared 10,000 on Monday, the Beijing News reported Tuesday.

The bookings have reached two thirds of restaurants' capacity in terms of serving Spring Festival's Eve dinners in the capital city, according to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce.

Restaurants in Beijing are expected to serve 13,000 customers on Spring Festival's Eve, which falls on Feb 2 this year, according to the commission.
