A court in central China's Anhui province has sentenced a county housing official on charge for corruption to 19.5 years in jail, XinAn Evening News reported Monday.

Dangshan People's Court convicted Liu Jianghui, head of Dangshan County House Property Administration, of crimes including corruption, taking bribes and holding a huge amount of property with unidentified sources, said a statement issued by the court Sunday.

The statement also said Liu will also be deprived of political rights for 3 years and will be confiscated of personal property valued at 300,000 yuan.

Liu was reported by his ex-wife and 17-year-old son on February 14, 2010. The son distributed letters accusing him of corruption, taking bribes and visiting prostitutes.

Liu said he will file an appeal to a higher court.
