Tour bus driver dies after tiger bite

A tour bus driver was bitten by a tiger and died on the spot at Hengdao Hezi Tiger Breeding Center in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, Jan 3, 2011, dbw.cn reported Wednesday.

The man was bitten by a tiger while he was mending his snow-trapped tour vehicle, a local policeman of Mudanjiang Hailin Police Bureau said. Yet death was not confirmed by the breeding center's manager surnamed Xu, who said there was no death incident on Jan 3, because the center was closed to the public for electricity network contruction from Jan 3 to 5.

The death is under investigation by local police.
