8,504 quake victims to move into new houses

A house allocating ceremony is held Dec 23 at a sports center in Beichuan county, Southwest China's Sichuan province, which was leveled by a devastating earthquake in 2008. A total of 8,504 residents from 3,534 households will get new houses through a random drawing. An 8.0-magnitude earthquake rocked Sichuan province and left some 87,000 dead or missing two years ago.
