Output control planned for nonferrous metals

The proposal for nonferrous metals in the 12th Five-Year Plan has been submitted, Shang Fushan, vice chairman of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, said on Dec 4, Shanghai Securities News reported on Monday.
The overall idea for the industry development in the next five years is to meet domestic demand and fully utilize both domestic and international markets and resources, to develop the recycling economy and prevent the excessive expansion of smelting production capacity, to wash out backward productivity, enhance self-directed innovation and promote the optimization and upgrade of industrial structure.
