MIIT announces entry criteria for cement industry

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the entry criteria for the cement industry on Nov 30, China Securities Journal reported Wednesday.
The investment proportion of capital funds for the building, rebuilding, expanding and moving of cement clinker projects requires at least 35 percent of self-possessed fund.
According to the entry criteria, production projects that fail to meet these standards must not be approved by competent authorities, the newspaper said.
The entry criteria will be implemented on January 1, 2011, according to the report.
