A China Eastern spokesman said the company is cautiously studying the personnel change plan based on research, and that no specific plan has been released yet.
Earlier reports said China Eastern was planning its largest ever personnel changes and that decision makers at the company were considering cutting by half its 1,500-1,600 staff members.
Personnel change is one of the strategies that China Eastern Airlines will use to change the development mode and enhance its international competitiveness, the spokesman said.
