East China Fair to start in Shanghai on March 1
The East China Fair (ECF), the largest regional trade fair annually held in China, will kick off its five-day exhibition on Mar 1 in Shanghai, and more deals are expected to be reached on the platform featuring innovative activities and interesting exhibitions, sources said.
This year, ECF will set up an exhibition area of 120,900 sq m and 5,670 standard booths with more than 3,900 enterprise exhibitors, including 449 from abroad, participating in the event, said You Yongsheng, director of foreign trade development department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce.
According to You, a modern lifestyle-themed area will be the highlight of the trade fair, exhibiting tasteful, stylish and original products by 449 foreign enterprises from 18 nations and regions.
In addition to exhibiting products of clothing, home textiles, furnishings and gifts, consuming goods, the trade fair will also hold a series of forums about the textile and clothing industry, cross-border ecommerce, Chinese cosmetic brands going abroad etc.
The ECF, initiated in 1991, is the largest regional trade fair in China with the most traders, great variety of exhibits and the most onsite deals. Last year, the 26th ECF attracted 21,454 business visitors from 114 nations and regions, as well as nearly 20,000 domestic professional clients, reached a total value of $2.31 billion deals.
