"Houses are built to be inhabited, not for speculation," said a statement issued at the close of the Central Economic Work Conference. Next year, China will implement a series of policies in different areas, including land, investment, lawmaking, fiscal and taxation and financial instruments, to curb real estate bubble and prevent erratic fluctuations.

In order to achieve the aims, the country will limit money supply to property market at the macro level, while credit policy at the micro level is expected to support the reasonable purchase of homes as residences and tightly restrict credit in speculation.
