BEIJING - The total number of netizens in China reached 450 million at the end of November, up 20.3 percent year-on-year, said Wang Chen, head of China's State Council Information Office Thursday.

China has seen a rapid expansion of Internet popularity since 1994 when it was connected to the Internet and had the biggest online population, said Wang, at a press conference.
