Consumers vote for China's most-trusted brands

The results of the annual poll of China's most trustworthy brands to consumers were released Wednesday.

A total of 500 companies were chosen as the China Quality 500, including well-known brands like dairy producer Mengniu, Moutai, China's national liquor, and bottled water producer Nongfu Spring. Other brands not so well known also made the grade including the mooncake producer Guangdong Jinjiu Mooncake Co Ltd.

The list of companies which gained most votes in ten industries was also released.

The poll was organized this year by the Consumers' Daily, the website www.12365.com and the Zhongzhixin consumers satisfaction degree evaluation center.

The first such poll was conducted in 2005 by the web center of People's Daily, the Consumers' Daily and the website www.12365.com.

The annual poll is aimed at letting consumers vote for their favorite brands, rather than experts.
