265 stranded Chinese travelers leave Cairo

BEIJING - An Air China plane with 265 stranded Chinese travelers aboard took off from Cairo, the Egyptian capital, at 7:34 am Tuesday.

The plane will arrive in Beijing at 5:30 pm Tuesday.

The plane was the first one sent to Cairo to bring stranded Chinese travelers home.

It departed Beijing at 11:30 am Monday and arrived in Cairo 10 and a half hours later.

A Hainan Airlines plane left for Cairo at 12:00 am Monday.

Air China then sent another two planes to Cairo. They took off at 2:30 am and 3:00 am Tuesday from Beijing.
