Workers Daily issued a special section aimed at China's 230 million migrant workers on Tuesday, the first such publication by state me-dia.

The section, produced by the All China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), will run the migrant worker con-tent in the Workers' Daily every Tuesday.

ACFTU spokesman Li Shouzhen said the rights of migrant workers should be comprehensively protected and "we should not only guarantee their economic rights, but also care about their morale and cultural life".

Content in the new section will mainly cover the experi-ences various migrant work-ers have in their jobs and positive experiences in rights protection across the nation, to help workers learn how to protect their rights.

Workercn.cn, a news web-site operated by the ACFTU, also opened a channel target-ing migrant workers on Tues-day.

Li said the ACFTU will ask national worker-targeted newspapers and websites to follow its example to better serve migrant workers.
