Egypt's elections body to start working

CAIRO - Egypt's Presidential Elections Commission (PEC) is to start working next week, head of the Supreme Constitutional Court and PEC chief Farouk Sultan said on Monday.
"All preparations for the presidential elections will begin as of next week," the official Mena news agency quoted Sultan as saying.
According to the constitutional declaration, the head of the constitutional court is the person to supervise the presidential elections from nomination till results.
The presidential elections are planned to be held in mid June, as the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, has pledged to transfer power before June 30.
