TUNIS - Libya's Interior Minister Fawzy Abdel Aal said his country would soon deploy policemen, border guards and customs officers on its border with Tunisia, Tunisian official press agency TAP reported Sunday.

The Libyan interior minister made the remarks in a telephone conversation with his Tunisian counterpart Habib Essid, according to TAP.

Earlier, Essid had voiced his concern over the transgressions and attacks on the country's sovereignty by armed Libyans.

Abdel Aal reiterated that such transgressions must not stain relations between the two countries, TAP said.

During the past days, clashes between armed Libyans and Tunisian border guards erupted along the Tunisian-Libyan border and prompted Tunisian authorities to close its two main border crossings with Libya.
