New chef's five-course meal

Award-winning Italian restaurant Bene at Sheraton Beijing Dongcheng Hotel has a new chef de cuisine. Giovanni Ricci, who has 23 years of experience cooking, arrives in November. Beginning his career in 1989, Giovanni has traveled to Sheraton Bologna in Italy, Hilton Prague in the Czech Republic, and most recently, The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. With his help, Bene will launch a five-course chef recommendation set menu from November with specialties at 588 yuan per head plus 15 percent service charge, including veal saltimbocca and pan-seared cod.
