Youngsters star in Sohu's hot eight online movies

Web portal Sohu.com hopes young stars will bring attract viewers to Hello Summer, eight short films available on its video channel.

Sixteen rising actors, including Zeng Yike, Wu Yi, Liu Xijun and Chen Xiang, will star in the films, created by Sohu.com and Hunan TV.

Many of the young stars have risen to prominence by singing in contests such as Happy Girls and Happy Boys, the Chinese equivalents of American Idol.

Each story has a theme song, written and sung by the young artists.
