Victoria Beckham creates 'shabby chic' nursery

Victoria Beckham has splashed out over £6,000 on a "shabby chic" nursery.

The fashion designer and her husband David Beckham will welcome their first daughter into the world next month - a sister for sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz - and preparations for the new arrival are almost complete.

A source said: "The nursery is ready and is a girlie overload."

"It's very tasteful - mostly cream with dashes of pink and every detail has been though of. The design is shabby chic with French inspired furniture. The baby will have the finest of everything."

As well as splashing out on furniture from exclusive baby boutique Petit Tresor, Victoria has also started shopping for designer outfits for her daughter.

The source added to Closer magazine: "Victoria splashed out £549 on a bassinet crib and bought a £1,584 changing table and a chaise longue. She also got three teddy bears.

"One of the stunning pieces is a £1,825 cream wardrobe with bunnies engraved into the frame, which she has already filled."

"She had already bought a few pieces in New York and online, such as a Kate Mack dress, plus she got lots of presents at her baby shower in May. She's so excited."

David and Victoria are said to have their name choices shortlisted to three but are refusing to disclose what they are.

The source said: "They've narrowed their names to three - and they're keeping them a secret."

"Romeo wants to call her Justine Bieber, which is obviously off the list, but Brooklyn is a Beatles fan and suggested Jude, which David and Victoria actually like."
