The 'Prince of Romance' returns
Richard Clayderman, the French pianist known as the "Prince of Romance" will perform in Bazhou, Hebei province. Ever since the musician debuted on China's stage in 1992, he has achieved great success, with more than 30 tours around the country. The concert will review his past achievements and he will perform his hits, such as Autumn Leaves and Poem to Adlin. He will also perform rearranged Chinese musical works.

Hear how Shanghai inspires artists
Three artists and one curator will share their experiences of working in Shanghai and how it influenced their artistic lives. People don't just live in the city, they also interact with it through their daily actions and thoughts. The four lectures are by Ma Li, a curator with the Power Station of Art in Shanghai; Josef Bares, a media artist from Czech; Yang Hui, a painter and photographer; and Chen Yongwei, an experimental animation filmmaker.

A mix of tradition and world music
James Cohan Gallery Shanghai will host a summer garden concert of world music. Shanghai-based Soundscape Collective consists of musicians from various ethnic and musical backgrounds. They will play traditional instruments such as the sheng, didgeridoo, harmonium, erhu, percussion, and Jew's harp. The band creates an instant modern mix of traditional acoustic instruments. All songs will be sung in Tibetan and Hindi.
