Twenty-three children recorded the song, Best Wishes From Beijing, recently in the capital to welcome the return of Chinese athletes who participated in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Its recording took nine hours, according to composer Wang Pingjiu.
The first recording of the song was done by more than 170 singers and movie stars from Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland, including superstars such as Jackie Chan, Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li.
The song, written by Wang and young composer Chang Shilei, was also meant to convey the city's best wishes to the organizers of the London 2012 Olympics Games.
